November 2020
I have been resolving little issues that would be much harder to fix later. I have:
  • fitted plugs to the intake manifold and block.
  • Remade fuel lines that would interfere with the firewall
  • Modified the alternator mount to resolve interference with a hose and clamp
  • Threaded a new chrome heater hose fitting to hold the EFI temperature sensor
  • Bead-blasted cast iron motor mounts for the V8
  • Modified the mount for the fuel filter to fit better.
  •
This is the first heater hose fitting that I modified to also host the temperature sensor for the Sniper EFI setup. I thought it looked a little tall...
So I purchased a shorter chrome model and ended up with this.
On the front of the alternator mount, one bolt was going to interfere with the hose fitting on the Edelbrock water pump.
A countersink bit and bolts from McMaster Carr solved that problem.
One of the fuel lines I had shown last month was going to interfere with the firewall, so I had to purchase a 90 degree fitting and remake the line.
I purchased some less expensive stainless tubing this time, and you can see that it doesn't bend as neatly as the more costly stuff.
