I'm so far impressed with the Holley Sniper EFI. The engine started quickly with a turn of the key, and does so every time. No choke, no touching the pedal, pretty much what you would expect from EFI. I've also opted for the Holley Hyperspark distributor, which lets the EFI control spark timing. I can't wait to see how it drives!
I'm also pleased to see that the engine has good oil pressure, the tach works and matches the EFI readings, and the alternator is charging. Since this initial startup, I've also run it in all five gears, and I have verified that my electronic speedometer is picking up the signal from the TKO600 speed sensor!
The latest issues have been hydraulics. A bad brake master cylinder has been replaced with one that is pumping fluid to all four wheels, but is not fully bled. The clutch hydraulics were not yielding full release, so I have ordered a wilwood 0.700" bore master to replace the stock 0.625" bore. My calculations say that will get about 25% more travel at the slave cylinder, which should be more than enough.
While waiting on parts (again), I fabbed up a mount for the brake light switch using a muffler clamp and some aluminum. It isn't my best work, but will do for now since it will be unseen under the dash. I will round the lower right corner prior to final install.
