Open headers are loud, so I trailered the car over to Worth Exhaust for a new dual exhaust.
The factory exhaust for the 260 was 1.75", but with the 302 something larger was needed. Because this is a resto-mod, I wanted it to resemble the stock exhaust.
I specified 2" pipe and Magnaflow mufflers; they are a bit quieter than the Flowmasters.
The stock exhaust was slash-cut at the ends and chrome plated, so I purchased 4' of polished stainless steel for the ends.
Troy cut the stainless in half at an angle and applied the stainless pieces at the back of the system.
Troy did a great job of tucking the exhaust up parallel to the truck floor, and aligning the polished tips in 3 dimensions. The exhaust looks almost original, sounds nice, and should flow better.
